Mfuse (www.mfuse.com), the leading provider of mobile-enabling technology, announces a three-year deal to provide mobile betting services to William Hill.
The initial offering will be a sports betting service for mobile internet set for launch later this year. It will utilise Mfuse’s mobile provisioning and transaction technology to provide the majority of the functionality found online, including complex bet types, in running betting and credit/debit card deposit and withdrawals. The Mfuse platform will be linked directly into the existing William Hill back-end system. The new service will enable William Hill to attract new users who can sign up directly through their mobile without needing to go online.
Mfuse will also provide a downloadable Java version of the service early in 2009, allowing consumers to take advantage of live in-play betting. This service will allow consumers to react immediately to moving odds/prices at an event or simply in the comfort of their own home.
Charles Palmer, Marketing Director of Mfuse said: “We are committed to continually push the boundaries of mobile betting technology and deliver reliable services with a high level of support. This focus has enabled Mfuse to work with a number of industry leaders over the years and the collaboration with William Hill offers further evidence of our growing stature.
“William Hill will benefit from our unrivalled handset and network technology, meaning their customers will enjoy an easy to use betting experience from their mobile phones.”

Mfuse was incorporated in 2002 to offers its clients a reliable and secure way to play, pay and transact using any mobile device. Specifically, its aim is to enable businesses to deploy mobile transactional services across multiple devices and in multiple territories.
In May 2008, Mfuse announced the closure of a £2.55 million funding round from existing investors Bestport Ventures LLP, who invested a further £850,000 and new investors including Mark Blandford, the founder of Sportingbet Plc, who invested £1.55 million. Following the funding round Mr Blandford joined the Mfuse Board as a non-executive director.
At present, Mfuse’s core offering is in the sports betting market where it works with blue-chip clients such as Ladbrokes Plc, Sportingbet Plc, Bet365, Stan James and Paddy Power Plc. Part of the new capital has been allocated for further development and marketing of a mobile casino offering.
